National Bank of Rwanda launches INTUMWA customer complaints chatbot

The National Bank of Rwanda officially launched the automated consumer protection solution developed by Proto and BFA Global with support from the Africa Digital Financial Inclusion Facility (ADFI). This AI-enabled chatbot named INTUMWA collects and resolves financial consumer complaints in Kinyarwanda, French and English across 591 banks and insurance companies.

Deputy Governor Soraya M. Hakuziyaremye said: "Our goal with INTUMWA is to have complaints resolved timely and adequately. It will increase satisfaction towards financial services and boost financial inclusion."
