Our Governance

ADFI’s governance structure consists of the President and Board of Directors of the African Development Bank Group (AfDB), a Governing Council comprised of both AfDB senior management and ADFI partners, a management and technical committee drawn from the AfDB, and the ADFI Coordinator.

The ADFI Governing Council is responsible for determining the general policy and strategic direction of ADFI as well as approving the coordination unit's work program.

A coordination unit managed and housed within the AfDB and led by the Coordinator is responsible for the implementation of ADFI's strategy, working in collaboration with relevant departments within the AfDB and ADFI partners, as well as external digital financial solution partners with similar objectives.
